· Ice
Whipped Cream
· 1 ½ Cups Whipping Cream
· ¼ Cup Sugar
· 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Directions:
Whipped Cream
1. Place mixing bowl and whisk in the freezer for at least 20 minutes to chill. *Note- a metal mixing bowl chilled works best but any mixing bowl chilled will work.
2. In the chilled mixing bowl add 1 ½ cups of whipping cream and whisk on medium speed for 1 minute.
3. Increase the speed to high and slowly add the sugar and vanilla extract.
4. Whisk until medium to stiff peaks form.
Hot Chocolate
1. In a small bowl whisk together 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, 1 ½ tablespoons sugar, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and 2 teaspoons of water. Whisk until smooth, it should resemble a thick chocolate sauce at this point.
2. In a saucepan heat 1 cup of milk over medium high heat (do not boil).
3. Once the milk is heated slowly add in the chocolate sauce and whisk until smooth.
4. Heat for an additional 5 minutes and continue stirring.
5. Remove from heat and set aside for a few minutes to cool down.
Frozen Hot Chocolate
1. Pour the warmed hot chocolate, cold milk, whipping cream and chocolate syrup into a blender. Add about 4 cups of ice.
2. Blend until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri. If needed, add more ice and blend again.
3. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
